Dr Alex Schofield
Clinical Director
Alex graduated from the University of Bristol in 2016 and gained her advanced certificate in small animal surgery with the BSAVA in 2023. Alex’s career began at a small animal clinic in Rochdale. She then progressed to a much larger small animal practice in Tameside in 2017 where she became Senior Veterinary Surgeon and then joined Manchester Vet Centre in the Autumn of 2024 as Clinical Director. Alex has a very keen interest in soft tissue surgery, particularly reconstructive surgery. Alex has been featured in the local news for removing a very large tumour and reconstructing the skin from where the tumour was removed.
In 2023, Alex became a Vet GDP advisor, enabling her to coach and mentor new graduate vets, which is something she is extremely passionate about.
Outside of work, Alex lives in a busy household with her partner, stepson, 2 dogs and 4 cats. She is a big supporter of Manchester City FC, going to as many matches as she can and is also a ju-jitsu black belt.

Competent Veterinary DispenserSue has worked at Manchester Vet Centre for just over 4 years and absolutely loves her job!
She loves seeing all the gorgeous pets, and chatting to the owners. She thinks her colleagues are all fantastic too!
Sue has a lovely Staffy called Blue, who is 6 years old, that she rescued at 6 months of age. He is a bit crazy, but she adores him.
Outside of work, Sue loves to dine out, garden, some DIY, shop and socialise with her friends. She has 4 grandchildren which keep her very busy! She loves going abroad, especially with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoys a nice caravan holiday, and so does Blue too!
